Children’s offerings will include story time for ages 2-9 Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m.; Teen Nutmeg Discussion Group Jan. 22 at 3:30 p.m.; Rhythm and Rhyme for children ages birth to 3 Jan. 23 and 30 and Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10:45 a.m.; a special program for kids in K-5 Jan. 24 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; Lunch Bunch for all ages Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 12:30 p.m.; TAB book club Jan. 17 at noon (registration required); TAB meeting for students in grades 5 and up Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m.; and Take Your Child to the Library Day Feb. 3.

Adult offerings will include Kent Knitters Jan. 19, 24, 26 and 31 and Feb. 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23 and 28 from noon to 3 p.m.; gentle chair yoga Jan. 20 and 27 and Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; poetry and journaling Jan. 20 and Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. (registration required; $20); Chess Jan. 20 and Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.; the Kent Library Association annual meeting Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. (at town hall), followed by a program, “Thru Hiking the Appalachian Trail with Sam Ducharme,” 3 p.m.; “One-on-One Tech Advice” Feb. 3 from noon to 1:30 p.m.; “The Opioid Epidemic: A Look at Opioid Creation, Addiction, Treatment and Rehabilitation” by Deborah M. Bain Feb. 3 at 2:30 p.m. (registration required); “Poetry & Music Night” Feb. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m.; a henna workshop Feb. 10 from 4 to 5 p.m. ($20); and “Color Your World” Feb. 12 at 23 p.m. (at senior center).
