Programs on tap at Village Center for Arts
The Village Center for the Arts in New Milford will offer a variety of events in the coming weeks.
They will include a jewelry workshop for adults Dec. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. ($10); a hand-carved stamps workshop with Karin Mansberg for ages 10 and up Dec. 14 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. ($65); “Paint Along with Miss Deb” for all levels, with participants painting a frame-worthy winter scene “Stillness,” Dec. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. ($35); a “Marvelous Mosaic” workshop for ages 10 and older Dec. 27-29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. ($195); and “Women, Wine & Wheel” class Jan. 12 and 19 from 7 to 10 p.m. each night ($110).
In the January “Women, Wine & Wheel” class, participants will learn how to throw a bowl or mug on the pottery wheel and how to glaze it.
Students should pull their hair back, wear water-safe shoes and trim their fingernails, and bring a hand towel and a beverage for the class.
