A presentation, "The History, Lore & Legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps Camps in Connecticut," will be given Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. in Kent.

Author and historian Marty Podskoch will be the guest speaker of the program to be held at the Sloane-Stanley Museum at 31 Kent-Cornwall Road (Route 7).

There was a CCC camp in Kent but its precise location was unknown until a recent archaeological survey sponsored by the Kent Historical Society.

Archaeologist Joseph Samolis will explain how the principles and procedures of archaeology, including surveys, can be used to learn about the past.
