Program to focus on stoneware

Gunn Memorial Museum in Washington will present a lecture about Manhattan stoneware Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.

The program will be held at Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road.

The lecture will be followed by a free appraisal event, where Brandt and Mark Zipp of Crocker Farm in Maryland, will give verbal appraisals of attendees' stoneware and redware pottery.

Only stoneware and redware pottery will be appraised; attendees must preregister with a number to participate in the appraisal event.

The museum's exhibit, "Art from the Earth: Early American Stoneware," will be available to view following the exhibit.
