Kent Memorial Library will present a workshop, "Naturescape Your Yard," March 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with Kent garden coach Karen Bussolini at the library.

Bussolini will lead the workshop that will focus on how to create environment-friendly landscapes that work with nature to reduce maintenance and costs while increasing beauty and enjoyment.

She will show examples of gardens from across the country that conserve resources, foster diversity, sustain wildlife, provide food and incorporate environmentally sound practices to create sustainable yards.

Bussolini is a garden photographer, writer, speaker, eco-friendly garden coach, lifelong organic gardener, nature enthusiast and a Accredited Organic Land Care Professional.

Her photographs of sustainable gardens -- and the stories behind them -- are featured in "The Naturescaping Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide for Bringing Nature to Your Backyard" by Beth O'Donnell Young and "The Homeowner's Complete Tree and Shrub Handbook" by Penelope O'Sullivan.

Copies of these books will be available for purchase.
