Program to focus on black bears

Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will present a program, “Black Bears in Connecticut,” March 29 at 6:30 p.m.

Nora Hulton, CT DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist, and science and math teacher at Washington Montessori School, will deliver a visual presentation at the Wykeham Road library.

The black bear population in Connecticut has continued to increase since the 1980.

The natural history of black bears in Connecticut, an overview of black bear habitat, diet, behavior, and current research efforts will be discussed during the presentation.

Black bear artifacts will be shared with the audience.

The presentation is intended for all ages.
