Recognizing and eradicating invasive plants will be the focus of a program on Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m. at Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury.

The event at the South Street library is co-sponsored by the library, the Roxbury Conservation Commission, the Roxbury Land Trust and the Roxbury-Bridgewater Garden Club.

The program will feature several guest speakers who will highlight the assortment of harmful plants overrunning the area's roadsides, gardens and woodlands and how these plants threaten native species, and focus on how to identifying and safely remove the invaders.
