Probate to focus on wills, trusts, probate
A legal seminar about wills, trusts and probate will be held Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation in New Milford.
The program at the 30 Park Lane Road East is open to the public.
Judge Martin F. Landgrebe, a local probate judge for 15 years and who practiced estates and probate law for over 20 years, and Danbury attorneys Thomas E. Murphy and Michele F. Murphy, who have practiced elder law, estate planning and probate law for over 46 years combined, will lead the program.
Questions that will be answered include: How can irrevocable trusts qualify me for VA aid and attendance and Medicaid? How do revocable living trusts prevent loss of control? How does probate protect my loved ones? Can a family member have me declared incompetent? How can a trust in my will preserve assets for my family?
Light refreshments will be served.
