Probate judge hopeful to speak in Washington
The public is invited to attend a community reception Monday, July 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Washington to meet Probate Judge Thomas M. Sutnik.
The reception will take place at the Gage-Zumpf American Legion Hall in Bryan Hall Plaza.
Judge Sutnik has been Southbury's Judge of Probate for eight years and is facing an Aug. 10 Republican primary for the newly established consolidated Judge of Probate district, which will include Washington.
Voting will be held at Bryan Memorial Town Hall from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The judge will Monday discuss the impact the consolidation of the probate court has on the town of Washington, as well as his experience, not only as a judge, but as an attorney dealing in trusts and estates.
He'll also talk about his philosophy regarding many services the court provides to the town's citizens.
She also urges unaffiliated voters to register with the Republican party so they will be eligible to vote in the primary.
