Kent Memorial Library is holding its fundraising raffle project — for a pristine 1998 Porsche Boxster.

The crimson red convertible has very low mileage, a five-speed manual transmission and a six-cylinder boxer design engine, as well as several factory upgrades.

“We’ve brought the car raffle back by popular demand and this year’s car is hot and beautiful,” said Jim Blackketter, co-president of the Kent Library Association and a member of the team that organizes the raffle.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the Main Street library, during the library’s annual book sale and at multiple venues around town.

Tickets may also be purchased by sending a check, with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to Kent Memorial Library Car Raffle, P.O. Box 127, Kent, CT 06757. The raffle stubs will be mailed back to raffle entrants.

Entrants must include a phone number where they can be reached on Oct. 29 should they win.

A drawing for the winner will be held Oct. 29 during the 41st annual Kent Pumpkin Run.
