New Milford police are investigating a motor vehicle accident on Erickson Road that sent two people to Danbury Hospital.
Angel Louis Vazques and Angelica Defretas, both of Park Lane in town, were transported Friday, Sept. 27, by ambulance to Danbury Hospital from the scene of the accident, police said.
An update on their status was not available.
Officers responded Friday to a 911 call at 7:40 a.m. and found Vazques' 2007 gray Toyota Corolla off the road, with the passenger trapped in the vehicle, police said.
After extricating the passenger, both she and the driver were transported by New Milford ambulance to Danbury Hospital, police said.
Initial reports indicate a green, 1990s model import car, possibly a Toyota Camry, was involved in the crash and left the scene, police said.
Erickson Road was closed between Cross and Morey roads for five hours while the police's crash reconstruction team investigated the area.
Those with information on the accident or who were driving in that area during that time should call the police at 860-355-3133.
