Police: Woman robbed bank inside Wethersfield Stop & Shop

WETHERSFIELD — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman they say is connected with a bank robbery last week.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on July 30, a woman went into the People’s United Bank inside the Stop & Shop at 1380 Berlin Turnpike and demanded money from the teller, police said. She was given an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police said the woman showed up at the store in a Ford Mustang that appeared to be coated in primer. The vehicle had front passenger side damage.

Investigators asked anyone with information about the woman or the vehicle used in the robbery to reach out to police.
