Polar Bear Run's set to go soon
The 28th edition of the Polar Bear Run road race will be offered Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. starting near the tennis courts at Lake Waramaug Country Club in New Preston.
The 7.6-mile event annually attracts 400 or more runners of all ability rangers for a scenic tour of Lake Waramaug, through corners of Washington/New Preston, Warren and Kent.
Cash awards of $100, $75 and $50 will be given to the respective top three male and female finishers.
A $100 prize would be given for a course record.
Age-division awards will be given for 18 and younger, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older.
Runners are asked to car pool since parking is limited.

Signup after Feb. 23 must be done online or on race day.
