The After School Arts Program based in Washington, which serves the Northwest Hills, will host its first Celebration of Young Photographers.

Students in grades 3 to 12 are invited to submit a photograph reflecting their interpretation on this year's theme: perspectives on home.

The deadline to enter has been extended to Nov. 12.

A panel of famed photographers and art collectors will jury all entries.

Selected photographs will be exhibited at a special community event Dec. 3 at Arethusa Farm in Litchfield, where participants will be recognized for their work.

A top prize will be awarded for a photograph from each age group, grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

ASAP will be responsible for printing and framing the artwork, which will be for sale; proceeds will benefit ASAP programs.

Submissions should be emailed to Kaitlin@AfterSchoolArtsProgram.org on or before Nov. 12.
