The Merryall Center for the Arts in New Milford will present a musical program with the Perfect Timing Band Saturday at 8 p.m.

Drawn from the ranks of the popular band Higher and Higher, this local group — Chris Martirano, Ray Plue and Gina Palmieri — will perform at the 8 Chapel Hill Road center.

Palmieri has been performing since age 6, including as the lead vocalist for the top 40 band RIO for 25 years. She was a finalist in the Connecticut star search contest and sang with Vince Gill.

Plue is a drummer and lead vocalist, performing for more than 35 years the hits from the big-band era, the 1950s-’60s, the disco era, classic 1980s rock, and new classics from the 1990s to the present.

Martirano, who has played for more than 40 years, adds a wide variety of sounds and full orchestrations, from brass, winds, strings, and piano, to record scratches and rhythm loops.

Weather permitting, the deck will open at 7 p.m. for picnics overlooking the West Aspetuck River.
