Pedestrians struck by car on Route 7 South

Two women were struck by a car Wednesday evening, Nov. 12, 2014 while crossing Danbury Road (Route 7 South) in New Milford.
Police were investigating a collision, probably between 6:30 and 7 p.m., between a gray Jeep Cherokee and two female pedestrians near Arby's Restaurant along Route 7.
Police said the women may have trying to cross Route 7.
The police dispatch confirmed the two women were taken to Danbury Hospital. Reports said at least one was seriously injured.
The northbound lanes of Route 7 were temporarily closed between Dodd Road and Pickett District Road as accident investigators attempted to determine what occurred at the scene.
By 8:40 p.m., normal traffic flow had been resumed.
