A Veterans Day ceremony paid homage Tuesday, Nov. 11 to New Milford's Vietnam War veterans.

While the ceremony honored all of the nation's veterans, those who served in Vietnam were presented with town medals for their sacrifices.

The ceremony was held before a crowd of about 400 on the south end of the Village Green in New Milford.

It followed town ceremonies he3ld in earlier years to honor its World War II and Korean War veterans.

Members of the Roger Sherman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented the medals.

Prior to the ceremony, the DAR served a breakfast at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall on Avery Road.
