Paula Cardinale, 59, had owed Paula's Day Care
Paula (Peanuts) (Germinaro) Cardinale, 59, of Danbury, died at her home Nov. 12, 2010, surrounded by her family, after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Paulo Cardinale.
Mrs. Cardinale was born Sept. 29, 1951, in Danbury, daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Caruso) Germinaro Sr.
Mrs. Cardinale owned and operated Paula's Day Care for 30 years.
She organized charity dinners for local churches sponsored by the Danbury Police Department.
Mrs. Cardinale was a member of the Republican Town Committee and also taught religious education classes for St. Peter and St. Gregory the Great Churches.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lori Swaylik, and her husband, Kirk, of Woodbury, and Christie Cardinale, of New Milford; a brother, Frank Germinaro Jr., and his wife, Doris, of Florida; a sister, Linda Gigliotti, and her husband, Ronald, of Massachusetts; a brother, Robert Germinaro, and his wife, Rose, of Bethel; six grandchildren, Kyle, Hunter and Olivia Swaylik and Christian, William and Jacob Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
