The Village Center for the Arts in New Milford will host the second annual Paint the People event June 8 at Young's Field on Young's Field Road.

The family-friendly festival will feature music, food vendors, an artist village and an art show from noon to 10 p.m.; interactive activities from noon to 7 p.m.; a nightfall dance tent for high school- and college-age students with id from 8 to 11 p.m.

Other offerings will include a creative corner for children ages 2-6 and a cartoon class with renowned cartoonist Bob Camp, co-creator of Ren & Stimpy.

Patrons who buy a wristband can participate in a variety of activities, including paint catapults, mural walls, paint wars, T-shirt tie-dye, face and body painting, group cartoon draw-alongs, extreme spin art and a paint-by-number car.

Admission is $5 per person, with a $20 cap for families of five or more. Children under 2 will be admitted for free. Interactive paint activities will be available by purchasing a $10 wristband. Admission to the black light DJ'd nightfall dance tent is $15.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the VCA, 12 Main St.
