To the Editor:

Prisoner of War / Missing in Action, CT Forget-Me-Nots recently held its annual benefit dance at VFW Post 1672 in New Milford.

For 33 years, Flashback has made it possible for us to continue to support the families of our POW/MIAs and to pursue an honorable resolution to this national tragedy.

We extend a special thank you to Flashback for their professionalism, friendship, dedication, and, of course, their incredible classic rock music.

We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to hold our annual dance at VFW Post 1672. We are very grateful to the members of the VFW and their Auxiliary for their generous support and concern for our POW/MIAs.

Everyone enjoyed the delicious apple cake, hors d’oeuvres, platters, and snacks which were donated by area businesses. Thank you to The Pantry, The Market in Northville, Stew Leonard’s, and Stop & Shop for the delicious culinary treats.

Once again, we received outstanding raffle prizes from area merchants and individuals, many of whom have supported us for the past 33 years so we may continue our mission.

We are deeply grateful to the following merchants and individuals for their overwhelming generosity this year as well as in past years: The Hopkins Inn, Quality Gem, Averill Farm, Appletree Design Depot, Warner Theatre, Candlewood Tool & Machine Shop, American Legion Post #87, Washington Food Market, Devine Hair Co., Fat City Screen Printing &Sportstitch, The Washington Pizza House, Natural Marketplace, Seven Angels Theatre, Sweet Spot, Tasty Waves, Torie & Howard, Sharoan’s Hair Studio, Nan Rossiter, Len’s Barber Shop, Nordica Toys, Theatreworks in New Milford, Washington Supply Outdoor Living Center, Hidden Valley Eatery, Starberry Farm, Maple Bank Farm, Louise Ruscoe, Angela Vill, Market Place Kitchen & Bar, County Wine & Spirits, Bridgewater Village Store & Bistro.

Thank you, too, to special friends who have made donations to make our evening a success.

We wish to extend a special thank you to the members of American Legion Post 87 in Washington Depot for their continuous overwhelming generosity and support. Thank you as well to Shari Barron at J & J Printing for her professionalism.

Thank you to The Spectrum for sharing our information with the public.
