Otto Muehlfeld, 89, had been a Marine
Otto F. Muehlfeld, 89, of Danbury, died Aug. 26, 2010, at his home. He was the widower of Sophie (Deitz) Muehlfeld.
Mr. Muehlfeld was born May 22, 1921, in Danbury, son of the late Otto and Mildred (Hill) Muehlfeld.
A lifelong resident, he attended local schools and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Muehlfeld was employed for many years as a machinist with the Radial Bearing Co. of Danbury, until the time of his retirement.
Mr. Muehlfeld is survived by a granddaughter, Dawn M. Arnold, and her husband, Glenn, of New Milford; four great-grandchildren, Kara, Garrett, Matthew and Zachary Arnold, of New Milford; a brother, Robert Muehlfeld; two sisters, Barbara Williams and Dorothy Hurd; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Muehlfeld Preininger.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be private.
