Forty-one teams are geared up for the start of the 2011 New Milford Parks & Recreation men's and women's slowpitch softball league season.

Matteo's/New Milford Dental Associates will duel CVM/Fat City Screen Printing Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Young's Field `E' to kick off the women's campaign.

Three men's games will be played Monday's at Young's: Pupper Septic will battle the New Milford Sports Club at 6:15 p.m. at `D' field; Superior Plus Energy will play Advanced Construction at 6:15 p.m. at `E'; and Haymore Services will play Milano's at 7:30 p.m. at `D.'

In all, 32 men's team will compete most weeknights through early August for honors in five divisions while nine women's teams will play for their league championship.
