The New Milford Recycling Center has announced it accepts old electronics for recycling for free.
The Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority (HRRA) has contracted with Newtech Recycling to provide this service to residents.
Items such as TVs, computers, printers, scanners, stereos, fax machines, cell phones and other electronic devices will be accepted.
Items collected at the center are picked up by Newtech and recycled.
Individuals do not have to have a permit for the center.
Up to seven items per day from a residence can be brought to the center on Young’s Frield Road.
In addition, center staff can also provide contact information to businesses that wish to recycle old electronics.
The service is ongoing throughout the year.
The center (www.newmilfordrecycling.com) is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., but is closed from 11:30 a.m. to noon for lunch, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will be closed Jan. 1-2.
