To the Editor:

The New Milford Commission on the Arts wishes to thank Marandola Fuel Services, New Milford Insurance Agency and Cramer & Anderson LLP for their generous donations toward our town's Edwin Kinkade Concert on the Green series.

With their support and community spirit, these August concerts continue to be offered free for the enjoyment of all.

We also wish to acknowledge and thank Mayor Pat Murphy, our Town Council, New Milford Parks & Recreation, the New Milford Police Department and the Traffic Authority for their work in making these concerts a success.

Our town's Commission on the Arts presents a wide variety of family-oriented arts programs throughout the year, and all our programs are free.

We are mostly recognized for the Edwin Kinkade Concerts on the Green and the Christmas Carol Sing, which will be Dec. 17 this year.

But we also schedule free arts programs in the railroad station and other town locations. And occasionally, we assist other community organizations with their arts programming.

Personally, I wish to thank each of the people who give their time, expertise and energy to the commission on the arts.

They are Sally Adams, Charlotte Bostwick, Abe Echevarria, Susan Fogarty, Karl Hermonat, Joanne Lillis, Barbara Payne, Jayson Roberts, Jeremy Rumen, Jim Scrimgeour and Joel Spector.

New Milford is a great town.

The New Milford Commission on the Arts is proud to learn from the people who attend our programs that we help make New Milford an attractive community for those who live here, and a friendly stopping point for those who visit.
