Offers thanks for Scout project at Harrybrooke
To the Editor:
I would like to thank everyone in the community who supported me on my Eagle Scout project in Harrybrooke Park.
My project was to install 210 feet of rail fence at the park entrance along the river embankment. This fence provides a safety barrier for park patrons.
Harrybrooke Park is a nonprofit park, free to residents of New Milford, which does not receive any funding from our town.
My project has made it safer for children riding bikes, and people pushing strollers, etc. along the river embankment. Visitors can stop at the river bank without hesitation to enjoy a beautiful view of the water as intended by the park's benefactor, Frank Harden.
My gratitude extends to Jim Ferlow and the Inland Wetland Commission.
To my dad, Ron Ridgeway, I thank you for the many hours of work for my project from start to finish to make this project a success.
I also wish to thank the following businesses which generously donated to the funding of my project:
Arthur H. Howland & Associates, P.C., Law Office of Cecilia Buck-Taylor, P.C., Frank at CARS, Brian Farrell Associates, Attorney D. Randall DiBella, Joseph Chemero, Housatonic Valley Insurance Agency, Inc., Jimmy's Barber Shop, Jo-Jo's Deli, Richard & Christine Layton and Levine Paint & Auto Supply, Inc.
The New Milford Lions Club, Marble Dale Plumbing & Heating, LLC., Modzelewski's Auto Body Works of New Milford, Inc., Richard and Suzi Pettibone, PhysEd, Phil and Marlene Pettibone and the Village Green Cleaners.
Harrybrooke Park, Dunkin' Donuts, Big Y, Tractor Supply, GoFundMe contributers Brian & Joann Gleissner of Woodbury, William and Annellen Gleissner of Brookfield, Don and Danna Condra of California, Tarynn and Tommy Loranger of Suffield, Cynthia and Michael Barry of Florida, Sharon and Kevin Renaudette of Somers, Jennifer Talbot of Massachusetts, David Lam, Linda and Alex Slater, and Ron and Janis Wohlschlaeger.
Thank you for your donations, which helped fund my project's materials for the beneficiary.
