The John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford will hold its next “Second Saturday Stars” program, “Trappist-1,” March 10 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The program will focus on the discovery of a complete solar system with several planets in the ”habitable zone” and the fanfare that has occurred in the past eight months.

There are seven earth-sized planets around a small red dwarf star, 40 light years from earth.

The observatory is located behind New Milford High School on Route 7 South.
