The John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford will hold its next “Second Saturday Stars” program Feb. 10 from 7 to 9 pm.
The topic will be “Exploration of Jupiter by Robotic Spacecraft.”
NASA's JUNO spacecraft is currently orbiting Jupiter, telling us new information about the giant planet.
But NASA, sometimes in partnership with the European Space Agency, has been exploring Jupiter since the 1970s.
The program will discuss what has been learned in the past, what is being learned now and where the early spacecraft are as they continue their journeys.
The observatory is located behind New Milford High School on Route 7 South.
