Kent Affordable Housing will hold its annual Night of a Thousand Pies fundraiser Nov. 5.

The event will feature the sale of pies and tarts donated by home and professional bakers and restaurants, lunch and samplings of pies from noon to 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's parish hall on Main Street, and dinner prepared by a variety of chefs at 7 p.m. at venues in the community.

Lunch will cost $12 or $16. Slices of pie and a beverage will cost $5. Pies will start at $15.

Dinner menus will vary, but will include appetizers, an entree, wine and dessert.

Dinner will cost $75 per person.

Reservations for dinner are required by Oct. 29.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the renovation and construction of five rental apartments in an antique farmhouse close to the center of Kent.

Funding for the development will come from several public sources, but Kent Affordable Housing must provide the rest of the financing.
