The new town-endorsed website, ExploreNewMilford.com, is about ready to launch, and people and businesses will have an opportunity to get early access and submit their content before the site goes live.

Already filled with municipal buildings, parks, trails, historical landmarks, ExploreNewMilford.com will soon launch to the public.

Additionally, the events featured on NewMilfordEvents.com, the precursor to this site, have been transferred.

All New Milford-based businesses, non-profits, and other organizations that wish to have their “place” or “event” appear on the site are encouraged to visit http://explorenewmilford.com/.

There, follow a link at the bottom for "Get early access to submit your content now!”

Click, and create a free account, allowing you to submit content easily with a very simple template.

Upload a photograph; insert address, phone numbers, hours of operation, etc. and a URL back to your website as a tool to generate traffic to your own site.

The site is developed and managed by CivicLift, creator of NewMilfordEvents, with the support of the New Milford Economic Development Commission, as an engine for both commerce and community.

ExploreNewMilford.com will be a fully integrated community website for everyone.

Drawing from many varied sources of information available, it is an aggregate; often refreshing itself, keeping the most relevant, current content at the top.

It will also allow a customizable user experience. It does not replace businesses websites, but will help drive traffic to them, with links to the Chamber of Commerce and other participating organizations.

It will replace NewMilfordEvents.com and ShopNewMilford.com.
