The Litchfield Hills Film Festival, based in New Milford, has announced the organization of the JAM Project, a new theater group.

The group will debut two new original one-act plays June 17 and 18 at 8 p.m. at the organization's headquarters, 77 Railroad Sr.

The JAM Project was co-founded by James Hipp, Alex Echevarria, and Marilyn Hart, in association with Frank and Patrice Galterio.

All plays are written and produced by JAM Project members and staged in a minimalist "Black-Box" format.

The plays to be performed later this month include "Mean Charlene" by Mr. Echevarria and "Cycling" by Mr. Hipp.

The plays, directed by Marilyn Hart, will also star Marilyn Hart and are directed by Laura Gilbert.
