New Milford police have charged a man they say robbed the Price Cutter gas station on Danbury Road in town.

Craig Rosenoch, 47, of New Milford, was arrested Wednesday after officers found him hiding in a closet at a Willow Springs residence where he was believed to have been staying, police said.

The robbery happened around 8:53 p.m. on Friday. No weapon was used and there were no physical injuries, police said.

New Milford Police detectives worked with the Ridgefield and Danbury police departments to identify Rosenoch as the suspect.

Rosenoch is charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was held on $150,000 bond.

“I am proud of the excellent work done by our first responding officers and the investigative efforts of our detectives,” New Milford Police Chief Spencer Cerruto said in a statement. “For a suspect to commit a robbery and victimize innocent people is inexcusable. If these criminals think for one minute that we will not track them down and bring them to justice, they are mistaken.”
