Two women prominent in New Milford's recent past will be inducted soon into the New Milford Women's Hall of Fame.

The two inductees, Barbara Weaver Street and Vivian Wilks Harris, have been selected for their involvement in political life, town agencies and commissions, innovative actions and thinking, philanthropy and accomplishments in the cultural climate of the town.

They will be honored posthumously by the Roger Sherman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution during a program set March 19 at 2 p.m. at New Milford Public Library.

The Women's Hall of Fame's posters and biographies are displayed in Town Hall.

Patty Carver will present a program portraying leading women in American history.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
