Online registration

Online signup is now available at www.newmilfordrec.com by clicking on "Create New Account" to open an account and providing all contact information. Cellphone numbers with the carrier are needed for possible texts with last-minute program changes. All members of a household may be included in the account. The household account will be ready when Step Two and credit card payments are available.

Dog waste

Dog owners who visit the Village Green or other town parks are reminded to pick up after their pets. Dog waste is unsightly and can spread disease. Owners should carry plastic bags to clean up after pets.

YOUTH

Pirate treasure hunt

Young "pirates" age 8 and younger are welcome to participate free of charge in a treasure hunt Tuesday, July 16 at 1 p.m. at the Lynn Deming Park beach at Candlewood Lake. Pre-registration is not necessary. Children should dress as their favorite pirates and bring shovels to dig for treasure.

Hot Shot Hoop

Jim Manweiler directs a basketball camp for youths aged 7-13 meeting from July 22 to 26 at Sarah Noble Intermediate School at the cost of $150.

FAMILY

College couponing

A class for a parent and college-bound student instructing in discounts on travel, food, academic supplies and more will meet Monday, July 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the recreation office at the cost of $15.

Game-Set-Match tennis

USPTA instructor Virginia Payne will teach the basics and skill development in sessions meeting Aug. 5-9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Young's Field tennis courts at the cost of $100.

Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular

Tickets are available for $69 per person including round-trip coach bus transportation for a Nov. 11 trip to New York York City for the Radio City holiday show. The bus will depart Patriot's Way at 8:30 a.m. for a 1 p.m. show and leave the city at 5 p.m.
