Registration is under way for many programs offered by the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department.

The spring/summer brochure is available at the Parks & Rec office at 47 Bridge St. Hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

YOUTH

Easter egg hunt

Children age 8 and younger are welcome to participate in the egg hunt tomorrow (Saturday), April 16 at 10 a.m. on the back field at New Milford High School. Rain date would be Sunday, April 17. Families are asked to bring baskets to collect the goodies and a canned good for the town's food bank.

Teen dodgeball

Free, open sessions for area high school students meet Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. from April 26 to May 31 at Pettibone School, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Greater New Milford and MVP-SOS.

Hands-on puppetry

Youths in grades 2-6 will create puppet skits April 20, 21 and 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Parks & Rec office at the cost of 30.

Spring lacrosse

Youths, age 8-12, are eligible for spring break sessions meeting April 18-21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the back fields behind Sarah Noble School at the cost of $100.

FAMILY

Boating safety

DEP boating and watercraft safety classes hosted by the state DEP will be offered May 2, 3, 9 and 11 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at New Milford High School. Participants must attend all classes at the cost of $20.
