New Milford PD: Man arrested for stabbing person with knife

NEW MILFORD — A local man was charged with assault on Sunday after police say he stabbed someone with a knife.

New Milford police responded to a call on Oct. 10 around 4:30 p.m. regarding an assault with a knife in the Nicholas Square area. Responding officers found a 45-year-old man with a severe laceration to his arm, police said.

The man was taken to Danbury Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

New Milford resident Joshua Jackson, 37, was accused of the stabbing, police said. Jackson was charged with first-degree assault-severe physical injury, and disorderly conduct.

He was taken to the New Milford Police Department where he was held on $75,000 bond. He is due in court Oct. 12.
