The Great Hollow Nature Preserve & Ecological Research Center in New Fairfield will offer a winter break adventure program for children Dec. 26-29.

The center at 225 State Route 37 will be open 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Each full-day session will include science-based environmental education activities, games, hikes, animal encounters and time for self-directed nature play.

Daily themes will be biomimicry, animal adaptations, winter survival skills and the science of our changing seasons.

Discounted registration will be available for members.
