Nature center to feature Paul Winters

The Pratt Nature Center in New Milford will host its annual benefit Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Washington Montessori School.

Festivities will include a cocktail reception, silent auction and concert by Paul Winters.

Tickets for the event at the Route 202 school are $50 per person and may be purchased at the door or in advance at Joe's Salon and Spa on Bank Street, Bella Jewelers on Route 7 South or The Pratt Nature Center on Papermill Road, all in New Milford, or the Bridgewater Store on Route 133 in Bridgewater.

Writers find

support at library

If you like to write and want to be part of a supportive group of like-minded people, a Writer's Support Group runs the first and third Wednesday of every month, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in the Connecticut Room at New Milford Library. The first meeting will be Nov. 4.

Holiday sale at Craft Center will run to end of year

The Brookfield Craft Center is presenting the 34th annual holiday sale through Dec. 31.

The center is located on Route 25 in Brookfield.

Trail ride will turn up treasure

HORSE of Connecticut in Washington will hold a treasure trail ride Oct. 24.

Registration will start at 9 a.m. at HORSE located at 43 Wilbur Road. Riders will depart at 10 a.m.
