NMVNA Hospice slates service and workshops

The New Milford Visiting Nurse Association Hospice program will host three events- an interfaith remembrance service, an education workshop on grief and a child/parent bereavement workshop - in the coming weeks.

The 21st annual interfaith remembrance service will take place Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. at St.
Francis Xavier Church , Route 109, New Milford.

Anyone who wishes to have a loved one's name included in the Roll of Remembrance should call Mary Peitler at (860) 354-2216.

The community educational workshop on grief and loss, which is sponsored by NMVNA Hospice, will meet Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 16 and running through Dec. 14.


Pre-registration is required by Nov. 12.

The six-week child/parent bereavement workshop is open to children and parents who have experienced a death of a loved one.

The group will meet Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 15.

Registration is required by Nov. 8.

The groups will meet at the VNA, located on Route 202.
