The New Milford Historical Society & Museum is up and running for the season and will offer a variety of events in the coming weeks.

The M. Joseph Lillis Fall Lecture Series will kick off Oct. 14.

Offerings will include the art of gravestone rubbings with Judith Burroughs Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. and "Old New England Cemeteries and Superstitions," focusing on styles and symbols of gravestones with Christina Eriquez Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.

The Oct. 14 program will start at the Boardman Store at the museum and, weather permitting, continue at Center Cemetery.

The society's annual dinner-meeting will be held Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.

A spooky Halloween event, "Connecticut Folk Tales: Believe it or Not," will be held Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
