The New Milford Historical Society will celebrate Chief Waramaug’s presence in New Milford for 100 years March 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Festivities will take place in the museum’s Boardman Store Gallery (www.nmhistorical.org), where Mayor Pete Bass will issue a proclamation at noon.

In addition, a special exhibit of photographs from the museum’s archives, as well as photographs lent to the museum, will be on display.

Visitors are encouraged to share their recollections of Green’s Warehouse and the horse, affectionately known as “Chief” in a history recording station.

Refreshments will be served.
