The New Milford Historical Society has announced its programs for the rest of the year.

Offerings include a clean-sweep tag sale Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the annual membership meeting and dinner Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.; Spooky Halloween on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.; a historic look at Connecticut's politics with state Representative Cecilia Buck-Taylor, R-New Milford, on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.; the opening of "Flags of Valor" Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.; a holiday open house and gathering for holiday lights event Nov. 29 at 4 p.m.; and an Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.

All events will be held at the 6 Aspetuck Ave. museum, except for the Oct. 14 dinner, which will be held at Alpenhaus Restaurant on Bank Street.
