The Marc R. Mills Memorial Fund, through Connecticut Community Foundation, has awarded a grant to The Children’s Center of New Milford.

The Children’s Center of New Milford is a nationally accredited preschool with educational child care and day care programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age children serving families in New Milford, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Roxbury, Sherman, and Washington.

The grant, in addition to previous grants to Massachusetts General Hospital’s ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic, ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, Closer to Free initiative at Smilow Cancer Hospital of Yale New Haven Hospital, The New Milford Historical Society & Museum, Village Center for the Arts, and Artists in Motion, in Residence at FineLine Theatre Arts, solidifies the fund’s commitment to support a broad range of local, community and regional nonprofits.

“We are pleased to be able to help The Children’s Center of New Milford, as they continue to provide positive enrichment for the youth in our community,” said Executive Director David Nicosia.

“It’s the generosity of our donors from New Milford and the Litchfield Hills that enables the fund to effectively contribute and make a difference,” he said.
