The yeoman efforts of the Bridgewater volunteer firefighters, as well as countless others, enabled the 64rd edition of Bridgewater Country Fair to again treat its loyal fandom to a superlative weekend.

Of course, Mother Nature did her share by providing wonderful, late-summer weather.

The result? The fair’s dedicated thousands of patrons enjoed their Aug. 21-23 experience on the spacious acreage behind the firehouse along Route 133.

Patrons from the New Milford area and well beyond shared a good time that Friday, Saturday and Sunday, hosted by the Bridgewater volunteer firefighters and their loyal troupe of helpers.

The event is conducted annually as the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department's principal source of funds.

Opening ceremonies and the traditional parade opened the fair Friday, Aug. 21.

That evening, as well throughout the following two days, the public soaked up the fair's usual assortment of tractor pulls, the firemen's muster, musical performances, great food, carnival rides, raffles, arcade games, pet parades, cattle and poultry judging, flower and vegetable contests, and more.
