McDonald charities to give scholarships

The Ronald McDonald House charities will award $50,000 to 22 high school seniors in this area this academic year.
Of that, $31,000 will be given to eligible Hispanic applicants via the RMHC Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources Scholarship, and $19,000 via the RMHC Scholars scholarships.
The postmark deadline for applications will be Jan. 28, 2011.
Those applying for the RMHC scholarships must be eligible to enroll in and attend a two- or four-year college with a full course of studies and reside in a participating area.
Those applying for the RMHC/HACER scholarship must have at least one parent of Hispanic origin.
