Mary T. Egan, 93, of Bethel, died April 5, 2010, at Danbury Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John B. Egan.

Mrs. Egan was born May 27, 1916, in Raynham, Mass., daughter of the late John and Anastasia Wenczak.

She worked as a secretary prior to her marriage.

Mrs. Egan and her family moved to Danbury from Taunton, Mass., in 1955, when her husband began his long and successful career with County School Service.

She was a devout Roman Catholic, a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury, and a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Guild.

Mrs. Egan is survived by her son, John A. Egan, and his wife, Patricia, of Hull, Mass., her son, Gerard M. Egan, and his wife, Carol, of Brookfield; her daughter, Mary E. Becher, and her husband, Michael, of Bethel, her son, Christopher J. Egan, and his wife, Margaret, of New Milford; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Walter Wenczak, and a sister, Stephanie Rozowicz.

There will be no calling hours.

The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
