Mary Chark, 79, devoted to family

Mary Elizabeth Schanze Chark, 79, died Oct. 13. She was the wife of Andrew F. Chark Jr.
She was born Oct. 23, 1933, in New Milford, to the late Raymond C. and Rose Sostak Schanze. She grew up and attended schools in Danbury.
She was married Oct. 9, 1962. When her children were grown, she worked at Casual Living in New Milford.
She was known for her loving ways and her caring nature, and for her devotion to family.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by two sons, James R. Main Jr., and his wife, Concetta, of Brookfield; and Andrew F. Chark III, and his wife, Sarah, of New Milford; a daughter, Sandra Hutchinson, and her husband, Eric, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren, James and Joseph Main, Michael Hutchinson and Amber Cummings-Chark; extended family; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert R. Schanze.
A graveside service will be Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at Center Cemetery in New Milford.
Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
