Martin M. Piskura, 87, lived in New Milford
He was the husband of the late Jacqueline A. (Butcher) Piskura. He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Newtown, son of the late Frank and Julia (Felisko) Piskura.
He was a resident of Bethel most of his life and served in the U.S. Army in Burma during World War II.
He worked at Danbury Rubber for many years and most recently was a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid gardener and a member of St. Mary's Church, Bethel.
Mr. Piskura is survived by two sons, James M. Piskura and his wife Sue of Roxbury and Gary E. Piskura and his wife Patricia of Seymour; three daughters, Nancy A. Rizzo and her husband Roy of Shelby, N.C., Donna M. Elsenboss and her husband Andrew of Statesville, N.C. and Barbara J. Poissonnier of New Milford; a brother, Andrew Piskura of Roxbury; a sister, Julia Duda of Trumbull; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The Bethel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
