Marie Farrell, 90, lived in New Milford

She was born March 22, 1923, in Waterbury, daughter of William and Minnie (McMahon) Koch. She moved to Stamford in 1928, where she resided for 48 years before moving to New Milford in 1976. She graduated from Stamford High School.
She was a member of the Confraternity of the Rosary at St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.
She was known for her devotion to her large family, her volunteer service at Saint Joseph Hospital in Stamford and New Milford Hospital and for her commitment to instructing in the St. Francis Xavier Church CCD program.
In addition to her husband of 70 years, she is survived by 13 children and their spouses, Eileen and Loren Lettick, of Wallingford; Michael and Catherine Farrell, of Southern Pines, N.C.; Kathleen and Paul Tessitore, of Southbury; Colleen and William Serreno, of Huntersville, N.C.; Maureen and Keith Schlegel, of Franklin, Mass.; Noreen and Robert Raus, of Monroe; Pegeen Merkle, of Sharpsburg, Ga.; Thomas and Veronica Farrell, of South Beloit, Ill.; Brian Farrell, and his fiancÃ©e, Marion Cooper, of New Milford; William and Allison Farrell, of Washington Depot; John and Becky Farrell, of New Milford; Peter and Allyson Farrell, of Litchfield; and Terrence and Renee Farrell, of Goshen; 33 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Adeline Fletcher, of Advance, N.C. She was predeceased by two sons, Robert Jr. and Christopher; two grandchildren, Luke and Kaitlyn; a brother, William Koch, of Stamford; and two sisters, Henrietta Methe, of Florida, andBetty Gerke, of Southbury.
Interment will be private at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
