The Stairwell Gallery at Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will open "A Black and White World" with a reception June 15 from noon to 2 p.m.

The show, which will run through July 27, will feature works by renowned photographer Ira Mandelbaum.

Many of the photographs in this exhibit of Senator Everett Dirkson, Senator Robert F. Kennedy and President Lyndon Johnson signing the 1965 Voting Rights Act are from a series of young adult books for the publisher, Dodd Meade, titled, "What Does a Congressman Do? and "What Does a Senator Do?"

The Wykeham Road library is open Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
