Make plans: Bridgewater Fair time!
The hours are Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. and a firemen's parade at 6:45 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission will be $8 for adults, $5 for seniors Saturday and Sunday, and free for children under 12. Parking is free.
Fair events on Saturday include a trampoline show with five performances and a pie-eating contest. There will be agricultural events, with sheep judging, poultry judging, pedal tractor pull for children and a children's pet parade, an antique tractor pull, a Border Collie demonstration, and much more.
Sunday contests will be ox judging, fitting and showing sheep, ox drawing and more.
Music will be performed during the three days with Flashback playing music from the 60's on Friday night; K-Man Band with rock and roll on Saturday, and a tribute to Billy Joel with Big Shot, and Chad Burdick with country music, also on Saturday. On Sunday, Parrotbeach, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, will be performing.
Each year the Bridgewater Volunteer Firemen hold a raffle to help raise funds for the fire department. Tickets will be sold at Bridgewater Village Store, the Bridgewater Mobil Station and by firemen at the fair. A 2008 Jeep Wrangler and a Honda ATV are the top two prizes.
